♥/ keep your face to the sun and you won't be able to see the shadow..that's what sunflowers do :)
A month later, I really did have a wonderful job offer from my management at work. But it didn't come easy. Everyday after the youth camp, I clung on tightly to God's promise to me. And I recalled (with a big smile) how I went for lunch one day with my bro and pointing to Six Battery Road, told him: "See this, I will get a job with StanChart and will be working here, one day, very soon! In Jesus' name!" Thinking back on this, I believe God must have had a smile on His face too. (:
So, this is the one big thing that has happened to me, I want you guys to know this (:
As for why I hadn't been blogging for so long, it's really because I did have a lot of things going on lately. Am currently holding two portfolios now at work (one's my customer service port and I'm already starting on learning the ropes for my new position) so it's been quite stretching.
There's more pressure to perform even better at work but it's all worthwhile. I've always wanted to go into the media industry, many of you would know, and it was also during the recent period of time when I did have some opening to get into it. But I'm so glad I held on to what I believe in- God's word to me.
Because He kept it and gave me something beyond my expectations. I'm currently given many opportunities to explore an area of mass communications (my new position's to do with events) and that's what I've always wished for. The best thing is, even the major obstacle had been taken care of by God. My parents, like most, never really perceived a job in my desired industry as good and stable and I once thought I never would have the chance to get involved with what I love- mass comms: ad, public relations, copywriting, events etc. So, I really can't describe how great I felt when I was given this position. Everything did fall into place and it showed me how nothing is impossible with God, He carves a path out when we cannot see any! :)
