Remember, we will always have Jesus [ 12:34:00 pm ]

This morn, I was browsing through my bookshelf and I pulled out the book of poems I wrote. It's like a collection over the years when I was growing up as a teenager, the years with the most entries were 2003 and 2004.

I came across this one and read again. It's encouraging and so I thought I would share here.

Details of the writing:
June 4, 2003 -Wednesday
Inspired by my thoughts on the low grade I had for my Chemistry exam paper; I merely passed it by a mark.

Remember, we will always have Jesus

When discouragements come driving us crazy till no end
And we can find no comfort in our friends
But knowing there's a broken heart in us that we got to mend
Remember, we will always have Jesus

When tough times come
Knowing we can't run
With our burdens weighing what seems like more than a ton
Remember, we will always have Jesus

There'll be times in life when we got to strive
Though we may not have the ultimate drive
But don't forget it can be revived
Remember, we will always have Jesus

There'll be threatening times; times of fear
When all you could do is shed a tear
But fret not, step up your gear
Remember, we will always have Jesus

Ups & downs, in & out
Life's full of them, no doubt
But when you face them, don't ever pout
Just remember, we will always have Jesus!

I know that much can be done with the phrasing of sentences, like being able to shorten or expand them for a smoother read but I didn't touch it, I wanted to have it in the original version. When I read it today, I realized how much it encouraged me once again. I'm amazed. How would the mind of a fifteen year old have thought that her own writing will one day encourage her again some six years down the road!
