Mondays have been long hated for by the cruel fact that it's simply the day after weekends..and it did appear gloomy (as in literally) because of the rain today. No blues for me though, :) Time passed really quickly while at work and I heard myself say to my colleague before leaving for the day, "I'm so busy and it's tiring but it's so fulfilling."

I was so glad this sentence came forth from my very own mouth.

Later on in the evening I met Shihui, my best friend from sec sch for nine whole years, for dinner and we were both in super high spirits. She's starting work at a reputable trading company tomorrow and I'm going up to the next level of my career. We were rushing to share the latest in our lives and when it was my turn to share my very much broadened jobscope, she simply looked at me and said, "you can (do it), because you are Lynn."

I nearly gasped in surprise when I realized I didn't hear wrong. I asked her what she meant by "because you are Lynn" and she went on to say that she just know I could do it, make things happen at work. I'm so super encouraged.

It gave me a peek into what this dear friend actually thought of me. I never knew my person would make such strong impressions on the people around me. I never imagined that allowing myself to shine by being myself could impact others deeply.

And I am humbled because I was reminded about my roots.
I am who I am because many years ago, Somebody came to show He cared.

Today, I am thankful for the cross and the Sacrifice which had been nailed to it.
