Sabbath[ 11:42:00 pm ]
I was looking into the degree courses on UOL's website and phew, there's really alot to consider and plan..not forgetting the requirements for entrance. God, I really really want to study! Keeping in mind what Dr John Avanzini said: Plans for education need not be put on hold. (Recession-proof!!)
Anyway, I was surprised to have Goleng, the resident cat of our block, come to our doorstep without a sound this morning. It usually meows quite loudly but I guess it's too exhausted from the pain caused by a recent injury.
The thing about this cat is that he gets into fights rather often and every time he's injured, he gets clever and goes all the way up to our house to hide a bit. Though he comes almost daily for food, there are the occasional "hiding place" time when he stays longer to recuperate.
I often learn a lot from these cat-moments. They become God-moments. And today, I was reminded that we can always (and we should) run to God for cover; He is our secret place, our hiding place.
Ah, it's been a long day and a fruitful Sabbath. I spent quality time with God, allowed my thoughts to be sorted out and had time to do just what I liked. It's energizing. I love it that prayer stretches, enlarges and revitalizes us. I still feel charged after an entire day and I have peace in my heart.
Leaving you with this,
The miracle baby of the family
I love him to bits; he's the boy who always cheers me up
