The heart

I'm currently reading Joyce Meyer's A Leader In The Making and it's really good. I'm having some off-days and so, am thankful for the extra time to rest, observe my surroundings more plus to think and meditate on stuff.
Dr. Joyce wrote about the positive conditions of the heart and that had me ponder on the importance of the heart.
The heart is such an important and significant part of us. What we allow the heart to feel, accept and shut out will ultimately affect the entirety of our lives. I began to think about what I had previously allowed my heart to take in. Asked myself: are they good and positive ideas, thoughts and opinions?
There's got to be a greater protection of our hearts.
