princess and the pea :p[ 9:35:00 pm ]
Hi all,
it was terrible when I awoke this morning. My entire body ached like crazy and I was wondering why....until I found the cause of it. The culprit: my blue Uniball 0.38 fine tip pen!
I had slept with the pen against the sheets and my poor back for the entire night! Really wanted to just pull the blankets over and not get out of bed after that.
So that's how the childhood fairy tale of Princess and the Pea came to mind. For those who weren't from my "(childhood) era" or haven't heard of this tale before, it's (to sum things up) about a Princess whose true identity was proven after she slept on many, many layers of mattresses laid over a tiny pea and woke up aching all over the very next day. According to how the tale went, only real princesses are able to feel a pea no matter how many layers of mattresses are placed over it.
Ok, how I'm linking this point to my very body-aching day is this:
Some times, the small things in life can bring about the greatest impact to us. Like how our words, if not careful, can hurt someone a lot. Or, how a simple smile and a greeting can brighten up the days of those around us.
