the thing about YELLOW & how it makes me happy [ 11:42:00 pm ]

I was so happy.. :)

The bouquet of SUNflowers my super cute & sweet family gave me.. :) Dad, Mum & bro also had a card written for me, I love them! (and that wasn't all, more gifts awaited me as I went home for dinner last night ^.^)

The chocolates, the SUNflowers and the very cute YELLOW toy giraffe that my colleagues gave me...I think I'm the most blessed gal on 290609! :)

I literally was surrounded by a sea of YELLOW in the office..imagine: on my desk were two clusters of big SUNflowers, wrapped in YELLOW and with a YELLOW toy giraffe plus a card in a YELLOW envelope...... I was smiling like a xiao-ding-dong. hahaha :D really, my smile was so WIDE.

Anyway, my colleagues had long guessed that I am a lover of all things YELLOW and well, got me the sunny SUNflowers..but when I asked my bro, it really touched my heart because he said the family got me SUNflowers because "it is soooo YOU!!!"

I thought that was really wonderful to hear. I remembered during the Langkawi retreat in Feb, Dev actually asked us what is the one person whom we admire most; his exact words, who is the "idol" in your life; one whom you want to imitate after. And when it came to my turn, I replied that it wasn't a human being for me..instead, it's a SUNflower. They were all surprised.

I love SUNflowers because not only are they bright in colour, they also show the optimistic side of life..do you know that they only grow in the direction of the sunlight? SUNflowers always have their faces turned towards the sunlight. And this caused me to always remember to look towards God; the SUN, the light of our lives. :)

I have this YELLOW straw woven bag that I will carry around especially when I feel down. It never fails to cheer me up. :)

I guess YELLOW is a huge part of me. I love to spread joy, love, peace and hope around. Though I may not have a lot..but whatever I have, I just want to give to others so they can know (ginosko) the goodness of their lives too. I think YELLOW is the only colour that's such ability of spreading warmth and joy.

That's why, I dig this colour so much.
