Doing vs Being
[ 10:33:00 pm ]
I've been thinking and reading and hearing about this. Seems like everything's going in the same flow.
It's about our being who we are and our doing what we do.
Hmmm. Too often we take on negative and harmful opinions of ourselves because we don't draw the line between the two clearly enough.
A very apt example was during my lesson with my student earlier on...
Me: today's lesson is a bit more tough fir me than before..do you know why?
Girl: er..because I'm not good..?
Me: no, don't think that way. It's not that you're not good. It's just that you did not pay as much attention as you normally do.
Why do we choose to take a shame-based approach? The problem does not lie in the who.
Hmmm..let there be changes to this! :)
